Saving and opening setups

Inside ChatGPT, Save offers copyable JSON: copy it into a .json file for a backup. Open accepts the contents of a saved JSON file. The standalone workbench uses normal file downloads and file pickers. Browser storage may be unavailable or cleared, and does not sync between devices. A JSON file is your reliable backup.

If a chat edit does not apply

Keep the current workbench visible and ask ChatGPT to use its latest snapshot. An edit based on an older canvas is rejected so it does not replace your manual changes.
