Terms of use
OpticalSetup for ChatGPT is a free integration operated by Wofi. Effective 13 October 2026. Support: andreabertoncini88@gmail.com.
Purpose and limitations
The workbench helps design, understand and communicate 2D optical setups. It uses the existing OpticalSetup models and the limitations reported for each component. It does not replace optical tolerancing, full diffraction or wave propagation analysis, experimental validation, equipment procurement, or clinical and biological safety assessment. Treat readings as simulation results; source power and model configuration determine their meaning.
Your setups
You retain your rights in setups you create. Running a tool or exporting a setup does not publish it to the OpticalSetup community. The integration has no purchasing, payment, email-sending or community-publication tools.
Saving your work
There is no server-side setup database. Keep JSON backups of work you want to retain. Browser storage and a visible ChatGPT widget are not a cross-device storage service.
Free software
OpticalSetup and this integration are distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later. The software is provided without warranty as stated in that license. This does not change ownership or licensing of your authored setups. Download the corresponding source and its license notices.
ChatGPT and the official OpticalSetup website have their own terms. This integration does not imply endorsement by OpenAI.
